Sequel 2.7: Always Find What You're After
Release
March 2, 2026
Minimum OS
iOS 18.0, macOS 14.0, visionOS 2.0
Sequel 2.7 is all about finding what you’re looking for and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. With a brand new search engine, the ability to add items manually, and more accurate series credits, this update makes Sequel smarter and more personal than ever.
Search Engine 3.0
Sequel’s search engine reaches its third major iteration, and it’s the most capable yet. It’s even better at surfacing what you’re looking for, no matter the media type. Search is also no longer limited to a single page of results. Keep scrolling and Sequel will keep loading more, so you can dig deeper when you need to.
Add Anything, Even If It’s Not Online
Can’t find what you’re looking for in Sequel’s databases? You can now add items manually with a custom title, cover, description, release date, and more. Books and audiobooks also get a dedicated author field. Whether it’s a self-published book or a niche indie game, your library is no longer limited to what Sequel knows about.
A More Focused Experience
Sequel 2.7 lets you disable media types you don’t use, keeping your search results, filters, and library tailored to the categories that matter to you.
Improved Credits for Series
Series now display their creators, and their cast reflects the full run rather than just the latest season. This is especially useful for series where the main cast changes between seasons. At the episode level, you’ll see a more accurate cast too.
Finishing Touches
Sequel 2.7 also brings a handful of visual and quality-of-life refinements. Hero images on the media details screen are now cropped more intelligently, keeping faces and key subjects in frame. The details screen has also seen performance improvements and a subtly refined look. Read more below.
