Sequel 2.6: Cranking it up to 26

Release

September 15, 2025

Minimum OS

iOS 18.0, macOS 14.0, visionOS 2.0

Sequel 2.6 embraces iOS 26’s new Liquid Glass design language with a complete redesign. From the navigation to the details screen, every corner of the app has been refreshed to put your media first in a way that feels more expressive, immersive, and true to the content you love.

Media Details, Reimagined

The new media details screen draws directly from each title’s artwork to create a unique visual identity. As you scroll, the artwork dynamically blurs into the background, keeping the experience playful and immersive while surfacing more key information above the fold.

A New Tab Bar, Made Possible by Liquid Glass

Liquid Glass makes tabs feel lighter and less obtrusive, so Sequel can now adopt them without distracting from the content. Collections are just a tap away, and the new unified Search combines results from your saved items with those from its online database in a streamlined experience.

Spatial Widgets in Your Space

On visionOS 26, Sequel now supports spatial widgets. Place countdowns for upcoming releases, keep tabs on your watch queue, or track new releases, anchored beautifully in your environment.

Smarter Episode Notifications, with a Personal Touch

You now have more control over episode notifications. Get a heads-up the moment a new one drops, or just for season premieres and finales—whatever suits your watching habits. A unique option can even limit notifications to series you're caught up on. It's a thoughtful way to stay focused on series you're actively watching.

Finishing Touches

Beyond the big changes, Sequel 2.6 includes visual refinements, a new white icon designed for Liquid Glass, and thoughtful details like trailers and watch-availability now available right from Magic Lookup.
